Brían Ó Rourke was a beloved figure known for his humorous, witty, and poignant songs. Brían had a deep passion for the Feakle Festival, where he often shared his vibrant compositions. Brían Ó Rourke was renowned across Ireland and beyond for his invaluable contributions to the preservation of traditional song and his exceptional songwriting talents within that genre. He was also an accomplished poet, and in 1992, he published a booklet titled When I Grow Up, described on its cover as containing ‘jocoserious songs unaccompanied’. But her connection to Clare music is a powerful one. With long standing musical friendships across Co. Clare, Eileen is warmly welcomed wherever good music is played in the county.
