Martin Hayes is a renowned fiddle player celebrated for his innovative approach to traditional Irish music. With deep roots in East Clare’s musical heritage, Hayes’ emotive style and technical brilliance have earned him international acclaim. He is a true master of the fiddle, captivating audiences worldwide. Growing up nearby, Martin played alongside East Clare music legends like his father P. Joe Hayes, Joe Bane, Paddy Canny, and Young John Naughton and many more.
The Feakle Festival will celebrate Martin Hayes’ incredible contributions over the past 30 years! Martin has been a devoted supporter of our festival since its early days. His music, steeped in the rich traditions of East Clare, has resonated across the globe, showcasing our local heritage to the world. At our festival, Martin has not only graced our stage with captivating performances but also shared his expertise as a tutor, inspiring new generations of musicians.
