Thomas McCarthy

Thomas is a traditional Irish singer from a Traveller family in Birr, Co. Offaly, known for his powerful unaccompanied style and deep connection to oral tradition. He inherited a vast repertoire of songs from his family and has worked to preserve Traveller culture through music and storytelling. A recipient of TG4’s Traditional Singer of the Year award, Thomas is widely recognised for his unique voice and dedication to passing on a rich and rare singing tradition.

Nóirin Lynch

Nóirin Lynch is a singer and songwriter based west Clare. Known for her distinctive voice and deep love of the Irish folk tradition, she brings both ancient songs and original compositions to life with warmth and authenticity. In 2012 Nóirín released an album of Irish songs called ‘Echotones’, followed by an album with ‘Crag Road’, a traditional music group. In November 2020, she released ‘In Her Own Time’, a more personal folk album.

Ann Kirrane

Ann Kirrane comes from Bellharbour in north Co. Clare and a long musical tradition. Her late father, Chris Droney, was one of the most respected concertina players in Ireland. Ann learned concertina at the age of seven from her father and grandfather Jim, and she herself won three All-Ireland titles. Her teenage summers were spent in Lisdoonvarna, playing music with her father, Chris, as well as Tommy Peoples, Kitty Linnane, and Paddy Mullins of the Kilfenora Céilí Band. In 2012, she launched her first CD of songs, One Small Star, to critical acclaim, followed by Behind yon Mountain in 2016 at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Ennis. Since then, Ann has performed across Ireland, toured both coasts of the United States, and was a guest performer on Joanie Madden’s Folk ‘n Irish Caribbean cruise. Katie Greene

Katie Greene is a singer-songwriter from Mountshannon in East Clare, who draws from a rich musical heritage. Her mother, Helen Hayes, is a singer, and Katie is the granddaughter of the legendary fiddler P. Joe Hayes and niece of renowned musician Martin Hayes. Deeply rooted in tradition, Katie sings traditional Irish songs alongside her own original material, blending elements of folk, soul, and jazz.
